Samuel Beckett Bridge, Dublin

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 5 September 2024 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

This wonderful cable-stayed bridge in Dublin was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. The graceful bow of the supporting arch and steel cables is reminiscent of a harp which is the national symbol of Ireland.

Poetic beauty Ian! Those wires really do evoke the feeling of harp strings, framing the city. Perfect cloud texture too.
