Ramshaw Rocks in the Snow

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 19 February 2015 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Ramshaw Rocks which are part of a prominent gritstone escarpement in the South West of the Peak District near my home.

I got there at dawn and the place was deserted - it was wonderful to be able to spend a couple of hours on my own with the camera in the silence of that snowy landscape.

Maxine from Christchurch, New Zealand

This is a strong and clever image. The rocks on the ridge top are like Spikes on a dragon.

Excellent work, Ian, I love the details in the darker areas even though this shot virtually is only blacks and whites, with few shades of grey.
