My last photo was taken at dawn at Perch Rock lighthouse, New Brighton which is near Liverpool in NW England. Shortly afterward the weather started to close in and a succession of wonderfully dramatic rainbows appeared in the sky behind the lighthouse.

@Hans ter Horst: Thanks Hans. It was one of those mornings where I was definitely in the right place at the right time.
A quick tip for avoiding wide angle lens perspective distortion when photographing tall structures like this lighthouse - what I do whenever I can is to compose the shot in the camera viewfinder with the lighthouse bang in the centre to minimise any perspective distortion. I then crop in post processing to the final composition that I'm after. As an example this shot is a crop from the top left side of the frame....from memory I think I was left with about 17mp out of the original 36mp from the Nikon D800 camera that I was using.
