The 2 ton marble statue of Charles Darwin in the Natural History Museum in London.
The statue is by the sculptor Sir Joseph Boehm and was unveiled in 1885 a few years after Darwin's death.
I love the quality of the light in the Natural History Museum and this statue is placed in a prime spot on the main staircase where the white marble is lit up by shafts of light .
