Excellent, tu as trouvé une autre pyramide dans Paris.

@Eric Laforgue: I hadn't thought of the triangular road marking in that way Eric :-)

Andrew Atkinson from Hartlepool, United Kingdom

Ian, fantastic, I like the way the markings guide your eye to the subject. It the quietest I've seen the Arc de Triomphe

8 Feb 2013 6:47am

@Andrew Atkinson: Thanks Andrew - yes, it was pretty quiet but I also waited for a lull in the traffic going around the arch.

Gérard Beullac from Paris, France

A great and original angle of view.
I imagine the original format is a vertical one.

8 Feb 2013 6:50am

@Gérard Beullac: Thanks Gérard. Yes, my usual approach to photographing architectural subjects like this one where I'm keen on minimising distortion is to keep the camera vertical and then later in post processing to crop off the unwanted excess (usually at the bottom of the frame).

Hans ter Horst from Dippach, Luxembourg

Fabulous, you really kept those streetlamps in check avoiding them to blow out the exposure. Very nice!

8 Feb 2013 7:59am

@Hans ter Horst: Thanks Hans - the Nikon D800 that I'm now using has significantly better dynamic range and highlight response compared to my previous digital cameras.
