This a variation on the theme of the last image that I posted except this time it's in colour instead of b&w and it has a more traditional composition. It's a photo taken at sunset of the famous volcano of Mt Vesuvius. It was photographed from Vico Equense - also in shot is the town's 14th century cathedral church of the Santissima Annunziata.
Like what you see here and are interested in photographic composition?.....the blog section of my website now has a complete set of 5 articles covering my personal approach to the subject: Ian Bramham Photography - Blog
For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to my website Ian Bramham - Fine Art Photography where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo.
@Ani: Thanks Ani!
@Richard: Thanks Richard!
@k@: Hi Karine, I needed to look up the meaning of the word pleonasm (showing my ignorance again :-) but I agree with you entirely about the beauty of the light in Italy!
@Andrew Atkinson: Hi Andrew - this is a better composition isn't it.
@k@: Yes, of course you're correct Karine! :-)....it's just that I did not know what the word meant. 'Pleonasm' is not a very commonly used word in my experience. Richard is a writer - perhaps he can help us with this?
@k@: I'm always happy to learn something new Karine!
@digitalCG: Ahh...the shock of colour! :-) yes, it's a better composition isn't it.
