Over the next week or so I thought I'd show you a few b&w photos of Southport Pier that I took a couple of weeks ago in the fog.
I'll leave each one up for just a couple of days.
This is the building at the end of the pier - the town is somewhere back there lost in the fog.
These days the beach at Southport is a lot cleaner than when we used to visit as kids and it's now covered in razor shells.

@janina: Hi Janina, its quite traditional to have some kind of building at the end of piers in the UK like this one. In this case it has things like an amusement arcade (some of the machines are vintage ones) and a cafe.
