Misty early morning light at the edge of a forest in Tuscany catches the post and wire fence at the end of Catherine's garden.

@Didier DE ZAN: Thanks Didier!
@Hans ter Horst: Hi Hans!....yes, fences are amongst my favourite subjects too so I was really pleased to be able to photograph this one with those really nice shadows and light and with the sun breaking through the mist.
@Anna.C: Thanks Anna....I was kicking myself after taking this one. I've been experimenting recently with using a shallower depth of field with some of my landscape photos. I had the aperture set at f4 for this one but I chose a focus point that was too far down the fence.....it would have been much better if I'd chosen the first fence post as the point of sharpest focus. (PS the depth of field at f4 on this full frame D700 camera is similar to f2.8 on cameras with APSC size sensors)
@Anna.C: Yes Anna, I should have done as you suggested and tried both near and far focal points but, as usual(!), I got too excited about the light and the composition and forgot all about the technical side of things once I was pressing the shutter button!
Also, it didn't help that I was on the other side of a barbed wire fence and I was leaning over it at full stretch to get low enough for this composition!
@k@: Thanks Karine!
@Marie LC: Thanks Marie!
