Esprit 2011

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 13 May 2011 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

A long exposure photo taken at dawn on the banks of the river Spree in city centre Berlin.

An advertsing hoarding for Esprit divides the view of the cities cathedral - the Berliner Dom - and the famous TV tower.

Just great!
The long exposure creates a really cool effect by the textures of the reflections on the water.

Another excellent long exposure Ian. We re-know well the famous tower of Berlin on the right and the reflections on the motionless water are very beautiful

Something that a lot of folks miss here is the sensitive square crop which holds the elements together more firmly.

To my mind such advertisement only disfigures historical views of old towns. I observe the similar in Moscow...
Maybe in that consists the sence of this image?
