Gérard Beullac from Paris, France

Great image, beautiful shaving light (dawn or crepuscule?) underlines the majesty of the hotel emerging from the darkness.
I imagine a good breakfast here facing the sea...

@Gérard Beullac: Thanks Gérard!,....yes, you are right. It was photographed at dusk about half an hour before sunset. The hotel is on the edge of the beach with a steep hill just behind it called the 'Great Orme' (or 'Pen y Gogarth' in Welsh). The Grand Hotel is the last place to catch the sun before it dissapears.

Marie LC from Entre montagnes et Bretagne, France

Another excellent composition. We could almost believe in a hotel in Brittany!

@Marie LC: You should pay a visit to the Welsh coast one day Marie. I'm sure you'd love it and there are far fewer tourists than in France. There were only a couple of people on the beach when I took this photo.

Stefan from Thiersee, Austria

Excellent composition, another great capture from the master of B+W!

I doubt I'll tire of the snicket formula. Evocative, though equally successful in its own right.
