Moonrise - Llandudno Pier

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 25 March 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A beautiful combination of sunset and moonrise at Llandudno in north Wales last Friday.

As I mentioned to Dustin in a reply to his comment on my last photo, the moon on this shot looks tiny as I only had my wide angle lens with me. This was shot at 23mm whereas the last image was photographed at 195mm.

NIKON D700 4 seconds F/16.0 ISO 200 23 mm (35mm equiv.)

Ian, yet another great shot from what looks like a great couple of days of photography. The location seems to have many photographic opportunities from the images you have posted. Really does inspire me to head to Wales.

Excellent photo Ian!
My only criticism may be that the bottom part is a bit too dark.

wow your photography is amazing, you provide such inspiration in your shots, i love the golden glow on the mountains at the back, and the black light at the front on the rocks. Amazing.

That's beautiful Ian, absolutely fantastic shot, you can see you are using a wide angle, but because of the tones the foreground isn't as intrusive as usual, I like this one more than your Nikon Winning Picture I think

This is... just stunning.. I'm in agreement with Curly. This is one of those scenes you enjoy in abject silence.. you don't write an essay over it. Well done.
