I know you admire work of Michael Kenna He is coming to my corner of the world on Saturday March 12 with his exhibition - can't wait to see. @sunstone_maria: Thanks Maria!, this was a photo from my normal Nikon D700. I added the grain in post processing - it's something I've been experimenting with this winter whenever I've been able to take photos when it's been foggy (like in this one: )

The grain seems to add a certain heaviness and extra visual importance to the fog which I really like.

Michael Kenna - yes, he's certainly been a huge influence on my photography (although John Leech has been the most important). I've never been lucky enough to see one of Kenna's exhibitions - I missed his one in Paris a year ago by just one day!
