This the spire of the church in the beautiful village of St-Gervais-Les-Bains, Haute Savoie, France.
Info from the French Wikipedia site for the town - "Son clocher fut détruit par la foudre en 1792, reconstruit seulement en 1819, sous la restauration Sarde, par l'architecte Claude François Amoudruz de Samoëns. C'est un clocher aux « souples étagements et bulbes légèrement écrasés"
ie. the spire was destroyed by lightning in 1792 and was rebuilt in 1819 with that 'typical' alpine squashed onion dome shape that you can see toward the top of the spire.
