You can almost feel the textures in this Ian, I am pulled nicely into the image by the central leading line, oh yes and congrats on your power station landscape that I saw in Digital Photo

@P J W Miller: Thanks for that!

Richard from Duns, United Kingdom

The sheer scale of this shot adds to the beauty. Spectacular!

25 Oct 2010 5:38am

@Richard: Thanks Richard! (The scale is actually quite small. This is just a very small rivulet of water running down to the main river)

Marie LC from Dauphiné, France

Toujours de beaux noirs et blancs, j'aime ici la petite rivière qui s'est creusée dans le sable pour nous emmener jusqu'à la mer

@Marie LC: Thanks Marie!

Punit from Somewhere in, India

Wonderful wonderful capture, Ian. The twirling center line, the textures, the tones are superb. With your vision and expertise of shooting the wide angle landscape - its a pleasure to get to see your captures of the landscape that has all things nature.

Mike from Lichfield, United Kingdom

Lovely Ian. I never ventured down to that area.

25 Oct 2010 12:37pm

@Mike: Hi Mike, I wouldn't have gone down there either if I'd been on my own. I'd have been too worried about getting stuck in the soft mud after that messy and exhausting experience with some quicksand on crosby beach a while ago!

GJC from Kyoto (京都), Japan

I particularly like the richness in the blacks here, which give the photo a sense of depth and strength.

A pleasing graphical shot Ian. I remember getting stuck and falling in the mudflats, just managed to hold my camera up :0

25 Oct 2010 8:34pm

@Michael: messy isn't it!.....I managed to drop a lens into it but fortunately both end caps were still attached and the lens was ok as none of the mud got inside.
