The colour version of a photo that I took back in February 2010 - this is the new BBC Media City on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford Quays, Manchester.
I've recently licensed this photo to Capita Symonds for use on their company web site: http://www.capitasymonds.co.uk/projects.aspx
Like what you see here and are interested in photographic composition?.....the blog section of my website now has a complete set of 5 articles covering my personal approach to the subject: Ian Bramham Photography - Blog
For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to my website Ian Bramham - Fine Art Photography where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo.
@Andrew: yes, they flipped it. (They said there was a technical reason to do with their website links)
@Ian Smith: Yes, they flipped it
@amy: Thanks Amy....she's taken to it much quicker than I did!
@Ti: No, I don't work for Wilkinson Eyre but photographing buildings is not a problem. As it is a photo that I've taken myself the copyright in the photo is mine therefore I can license it for whatever use I choose. The exceptions to this rule (at least in the UK!) are very rare.
The most well known exception I can think of is in France - use of photos of the Eiffel Tower at night are restricted (but not panoramic or day time ones) as the owners of the tower claim that the illuminations are an "original visual creation" and therefore protected by copyright.
Perhaps the US has more restrictive copyright laws than the UK! I thought they were very similar but I'm no lawyer. (Here's a USA link to the issue: http://www.patentcopyrighttrademarkblog.com/2008/08/do-you-need-permission-to-publ.html )
