Wow Ian! Here I was thinking your area of expertise was whistful, sweeping landscapes and majestic architectural marvels ... then ... between that and stunning 'first time' portraits, you whip this candid journalistic shot out! I bow to you.

Love the patina in this scene and contrasty b+w treatment, the biker is the icing on the cake.

Lovely! What's odd is that I follow you on Flickr. I only clicked on this photo on aminus3 by chance without knowing it was you. All b&w pics lead back to you I guess.

26 May 2010 3:23am

@Manette: Hi Manette....I've been posting photos longer here at Aminus3 than I have at Flickr. I enjoy some of the specialist groups at Flickr such as some of the dedicated B&W ones and one of the Nikon groups.

Didier DE ZAN from somewhere, France

I found your images on Flickr first. What's odd about today was that I found this image by chance after looking around on the site, and then I bought a photomag (Practical Photography) today and there was your winning picture!

26 May 2010 7:16am

@Manette: ....winning that landscape photo competition was a wonderful surprise :-)
