This is my first photo with my new nikon D700 using an FX format lens - in this case it's a Nikon 50mm f1.4G afs.
For a while now I've considered portrait and street photography as the highest forms of photography but I've never been at all good at them mainly due, I think, to lack of courage and willingness to take the risk of asking strangers if I could take their photo.
One of my resolutions with this new camera is to make big improvements in my portrait photography so here's my first ever street photo of a complete stranger who amazingly enough was quite happy to let me take his photo......maybe it was the big smile on my face at being able to use this dream camera!
Like what you see here and are interested in photographic composition?.....the blog section of my website now has a complete set of 5 articles covering my personal approach to the subject: Ian Bramham Photography - Blog
