Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 15 March 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A composition of a zigzag of opposing lines at Coniston Water in the English Lake District.

This was a long exposure of about 2.5 minutes with me holding a large umbrella over the camera to try and keep the falling rain off the front of the Sigma 10-20 lens. It was photographed back in January and you can see the remnants of some of the snow that we had then still edging the lake.

I really like your UWA-images. I recently bought a Sigma 10-20 myself . Have to practice some more before I can show the results on my blog. Meanwhile I get inspired by your photo's (if you allow me :-) )

Everytime I'm close to pushing the button and upgrading my D40 to a D90 I see some excellent example of why the camera's not the problem!

Love it!
