The new BBC building in Salford photographed last Sunday night.
The water is the victorian Manchester Ship Canal and you can still see some of the remnants of the heavy industry that used to dominate this part of Manchester.
Like what you see here and are interested in photographic composition?.....the blog section of my website now has a complete set of 5 articles covering my personal approach to the subject: Ian Bramham Photography - Blog
For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to my website Ian Bramham - Fine Art Photography where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo.
@Curly: Thanks!...yes it's a fairly straightforward conversion to B&W although I did lighten the sky a bit and, as I often do, I added a slight sepia tone to the whole image. By the way the top of the building (and it's reflection) is a vivid neon blue on the original photo! Ian
@Ted: Hi Ted...there are still a couple of cranes working on the overall building site that you can't see on this shot but I think this particular building is in it's fit-out phase now by the BBC.
