"Another Place"

Posted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 3 December 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A long exposure photo of one of sculptor Antony Gormley's famous life size cast iron statues at Crosby Beach, NW England.

Photographed at high tide just after dawn in winter using a 6 stop B+W neutral density filter on my D40 camera

Ian Smith from London, United Kingdom

This is just superb Ian!
Such a simple idea that turns out just perfect! You could make some money from this one, as I'm sure anybody doing stuff on Gormley would use it.

3 Dec 2009 12:16pm

@Ian Smith: Thanks Ian....I'm starting to gain in confidence in my photography which is half the battle and I've been lucky enough to have sold a few prints and commercial licenses just recently, including one to a record company for use on the cover of a classical music CD cover!....it should be out in the shops shortly and then I'll be able to post it up here to show you.
