The Rythm of the Trees

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 25 August 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Photographed during a walk in the hills in Corsica where I was on holiday with my family over the last few weeks.

I'd almost forgotten what strong sunlight was like. We had 2 weeks in Corsica of high temperatures, deep blue skies and wonderful Meditteranean light which was really great after the summer of overcast skies and drizzly rain we've had this year at home in Manchester.

Ian... I will always be a huge fan of your incredible work. I've been trying to catch up with all the posts I've missed of yours... so many that are incredible images and most adjectives are not adequate. You've really hit your stride.

I just adore this. Sheer b&w simplicity. The highlights aren't overblown and the shadows aren't totally black.....something I constantly struggle with. Very well done Ian.

Sorry I haven't been around so much has a way of taking over.
