A photo from my Christmas trip to Paris.
It snowed early one morning and I was lucky enough to be able to take a few photos. This photo shows a seagull perched on the ice on a frozen fountain in the Tuileries Gardens near the Louvre .
You can see the ferris wheel of the Place de La Concorde in the background.

@bluechameleon: Thanks Sharon....I'm slowly learning the best ways of using such a long telephoto lens. I prefer wide angle photography normally.

@Paco Díaz: Thanks Paco...we had a great time in Paris and I managed to get out with the camera a fair bit so I've got lots of photos I want to post.

@Viewfinder: Hi Glenn....we often go at Christmas to spend some time with my wife's family. It is usually a lot colder than where we live in the north of the England and I've been there when temperatures were as low as -10degC. I guess it's more of a continental weather system than the UK. As for snow though it's pretty rare and I think I've only seen it snow there 3 or 4 times at Christmas in the last 25 years or so.
The weather lady on the French TV said the snow on the morning of this photo was unexpected and they put the cause down to pollution in the air above the city combined with the cold weather.
