Castlerigg Stone Circle

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 14 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Another shot of this 5,000 year old stone circle in the Lake District of North West England.

It was completely wonderful to be able to walk in amongst these stones that were placed there by our ancestors all those years ago.

Though this is quite an interesting perspective you chose here, displaying the boulders closer, I still favour your previous shot which has more drama, more impact!

I didn't expect to like this one more than yesterday's... but I do!! The b/w is divine on this and the view of so much of the circle gives a great feeling of depth and scale. Again... Brilliant!
