Albert Dock, Liverpool - photo #3

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 29 December 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Third photo in a series of night shots from Liverpools historic Albert Dock on the banks of the River Mersey.

The Albert Dock is an amazing group of Victorian warehouses dating from the mid 19th Century - it was very innovative at the time when it was it built, being the first fireproof warehouse in the world.

I'm travelling over the Christmas holiday period and will be away from an internet connection for a while so won't be able to return comments, although there's afew more days of photos pre-loaded.....I'll catch up with you all after the break but wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!

@yiannis krikis: thanks for all your comments while I'm away Yiannis - I'm able to log on using my pda-phone occasionally for a few minutes when I can find a wi-fi hot spot so have been able to read your very kind comments on my v small pda screen but its not usually possible to send replies - this reply took 4 attempts before it worked!
Best wishes, Ian

@Lorraine: Thanks as always Lorraine for your very kind & thoughtful support while I'm in Paris!
Taking lots of great pics here at the moment (and in the Alps too!) - I'm looking forward to showing you all when I get back.
Posting replies is painful using my small pda-phone screen on dodgy signals so my replies will be intermittent at best I'm afraid but I wanted to let you know that I can usually get to read your very kind comments now I'm back in Paris!
Best wishes as always, Ian.
