This is the third photo in a mini-series of 5 shots that I took a few days ago in and around the ship building town of Barrow-In-Furness which is located on the NW coast of England on the opposite side of the bay from Morecambe.

Like what you see here and are interested in photographic composition?.....the blog section of my website now has a complete set of 5 articles covering my personal approach to the subject: Ian Bramham Photography - Blog

Guillermina from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Agree with Paulski above, though I find that intersection somewhat scary... I can perfectly tell what this is, all the more so with your caption, and yet I cannot help but thinking of a sunken bridge... There's something apocalyptic (or otherworldly, or catastrophic maybe) in the atmosphere of this photo.

Simply masterful.

@Guillermina: I'm not sure what to say really other than to thank you for leaving such lovely comments about the photo - I believe that atmosphere, emotion and a sense of our humanity are all that anyone of us can hope to convey in our photos and I'm so pleased that you found some of those qualities here.

I do try and portray my feelings in my photos but its not an easy thing to do is it.
