"The Edge "

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 22 November 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This photo was taken at a place called "The Edge" in a town called Alderley Edge near where I live in SE Manchester.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet recently but I bought a nice shiny new camera (my first DSLR!) at the weekend and I've been out taking photos and trying to understand how it all works.

Its a Nikon D40 with Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens and a lot more complicated than the compact camera that I've been using to date - this is one of my first shots with it.

NIKON D40 1/125 second F/5.6 ISO 400 15 mm (35mm equiv.)

Very interesting image with that light. Almost has that negative look to it. Excellent first shot Ian!! I'm thinking you're going to LOVE your camera.

Great camera and especially great lens you've got. Fine work to start things of with it.
