Sardinan Barbeque

I added a watercolour effect using Photoshop Elements for no better reason than I liked it (a lot) and I thought it had the effect of emphasising the light and colours and giving a slight abstract, impressionist feel to the photo.

I hope you like the light as much as I do and that it gives you a sense of what it was like on that lovely warm sultry Meditteranean evening.

PS - the food was divine in case you were wondering!

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine! - as ever, you are very kind and encouraging. I'm really pleased you liked it and that the watercolour effect wasn't too much for your taste (I know some photographers are purists and think that anything that degrades IQ is seen as herecy)

Bron from Canberra, Australia

@Bron: Thanks Bron - I liked the smoke too :-)

@Brian: Thanks Brian - I love AM3 for the freedom it gives us to experiment a little with our photography yet still find other members who find the results interesting!

Daroru from Amagasaki, Japan

Very atmospheric... I would dearly love to know what food you had here and how everything was!

22 Aug 2007 2:01pm

@Daroru: Thanks Daroru! - the food was excellent - no menu as they served the same food to everyone for a set price. It is a good idea as it lets them specialise and means that everything is fresh.

There were many local Sardinian dishes before the barbeque arrived but that was the highlight of the meal.

The restaurant was full even though it was well away from the main road.

Markus from Reading, United Kingdom

Beautiful, like a painting, feels like being there!

@Markus: Thanks Markus - I always have mixed feelings about that photoshop watercolour effect but I agree with you in that this time I thought it added to the mood of the shot.

Pedram from Esfahan, Iran
