James Bond Island

Posted by
Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 29 July 2014 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is an island called Ko Tapu where 'The Man with the Golden Gun' was filmed back in 1974 as the location for Scaramanga's hideout.

It is located in the Strait of Malacca off the west coast of Thailand.

This image is almost surreal because of the landscape. You've photographed it well using the long exposure time with what I assume was an ND filter. The result is stunning.

15 Aug 2014 8:17am

@Jeff: Thanks Jeff - yes, I used 2 stacked nd filters to get a 4 minute exposure time. (16 stops of nd filter altogether)
