Liverpool Anglican Cathedral - Competition Win!Posted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 30 October 2009 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio. I entered this photo a few months ago into a photo competition being organised by Liverpool Cathedral and the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo newspaper. I was invited to the prize giving ceremony on Wednesday evening which was held inside the cathedral and I was amazed and delighted when my name was read out as the first prize winner in the adult category! I took a couple of photos of the event which you can see here or here For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

The shadow and scale are powerful. The bath of light behind your subject and the fine light and detail to the arch at rear - all come together. A magnificent image. 5-Stars. 2 Nov 2009 4:45am Russ Devan from New Hanover, United StatesCongrats, Ian. I love the light and the composition in this. The scale of the lady against the cathedral is amazing. 2 Nov 2009 5:39am |
