@Mirko Herzner: Thanks very much Mirko....one of the benefits of all those deep blue skies in Corsica is the way in which they convert to mono.

Ian this is gorgeous! I love the wide open space and the darkness of the sky. The shadow really adds so much to the depth and the mood. Fabulous!

@k@: Thanks....I only just managed to squeeze all of the tree and the bottom shadow into the frame. It would have been nice to have achieved a bit more room around the edge but sometimes these things aren't possible.

Wow, that Bramham's signature b&w wide angle super expressive landscape shot!!!! So beautifully composed especially with the inclusion of the man who's adding much to the atmosphere... Love this alot Ian!:-)

For some reason I never envisioned Corsica as a beautiful place until I've seen your shots.

@Viewfinder: Thanks Glenn but the island is much more spectacular than I'm able to show with my photos - I would say it's probably the most beautiful place I've been to in Europe. A combination of spectacular coastline and beaches with dramatic ancient fortified hill towns in mountains that rise to 2700 metres (about 8,800ft)
