Mirko Herzner from GermanyIt's kind of strange to name this image beautiful... But it is. A beautiful sky, a lonely boat and an example of mankind's 'not-so-nice' sides... I also enjoy the composition here. 19 Jun 2009 6:09am @Mirko Herzner: Thanks Mirko....one of the things I love about B&W photography compared to colour is the opportunity to add a little personal interpretation during the processing stage. I've only used traditional type darkroom techniques here such as 'dodging' and 'burning' and contrast enhancement but the process has certainly added drama to this image which wasn't so evident in the colour 'negative'. Marie LC from Voiron, FranceJ'aime vraiment tout particulièrement les images que tu offres en ce moment Ian... elles me touchent beaucoup 19 Jun 2009 6:24am @Marie LC: Thanks Marie, what a lovely thing to say.....I've still got a few more from this series to come yet. @yz: Thanks yz!.....maybe the attraction of these scenes is universal (or is it just us :-) Raj from London, United KingdomThats gorgeous.
