England in Springtime

A real "Sound of Music" moment.....I came across this beautiful wildflower meadow in the Cumbrian Lake District and half expected to see Julie Andrews appear and burst into song :-)
I stopped the car and lay down in amongst all those buttercups and daisies and took a few quick photos.
Is it just me or are the buttercups amazing this year in England?
Shot with a Nikon D40 and a Sigma 10-20 with a 2 stop nd grad Coikn flter.

Daisies are our silver, buttock cups our gold...
Its shots like this that make me appreciate that hymn, though I can't resist the opportunity to thrown in a bit of schoolboy humour... my treasures would have been red raw had I sung that at primary school.
Love the vibrance in the shot, its what summer days are all about. As to whether we're having a bumper buttercup crop - no idea!

Such a beautiful shot Ian. But are you sure its not one of your French shots? : )
Only thing I might change is that the upper part of the sky looks a bit dull - not sure if this was the filter, or processing? But just a small criticism (sorry).

The field of yellow and white flowers gives the scene an uplifting and happy mood. That is a very beautiful sky nicely framed between the trees.
