Sunset in the WoodsPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 4 May 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Well, it's bluebell season again. This is a photo from the woods near our house on the edge of the English Peak District. They are carpeted with bluebells at this time of year. It was sunset and I walked through to the western edge of the woods until I could get the rays of the dying sun in the shot. All I could hear whilst sitting there in amongst the flowers, surrounded by blue green and gold, was the bird song and the occasional click of the shutter on my camera. There's a larger version of this photo here for those who are interested. . I've decided to enter the 'Cool Photoblogs' annual competition again this year. I'd really appreciate a vote from any of you who like my blog and who feel up to going through the registration process that is required in order to be able to vote: 2009 Photoblog Awards For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

The sunset series that you did last year, especially http://ianbramham.aminus3.com/image/2008-05-11.html, was excellent, but this catches the light and shadow like a real master.
