Sunset in the Woods

Well, it's bluebell season again.
This is a photo from the woods near our house on the edge of the English Peak District. They are carpeted with bluebells at this time of year.
It was sunset and I walked through to the western edge of the woods until I could get the rays of the dying sun in the shot.
All I could hear whilst sitting there in amongst the flowers, surrounded by blue green and gold, was the bird song and the occasional click of the shutter on my camera.

Lovely shot Ian. I like the composition, with the tree on the right of the frame so close to the camera.The yellows and oranges of the sunlight complement the bluebells really well.

What a fabulous picture!!! The sunset series that you did last year, especially http://ianbramham.aminus3.com/image/2008-05-11.html, was excellent, but this catches the light and shadow like a real master. The diagonal path of the light and color contrast are superb. Really, really nice!
