Tree - Clouds

Photographed last weekend at Bodnant Gardens, North Wales.
The photo was converted to B&W in Photoshop CS3 then given an even tone of sky blue.

Nice sweeping line to this. It has a IR meets northern lights feel about it. I went though a phase of converting a shot to moody black and white, then multiplying the top layer over the original colour shot which gives a similar mood to this.

I really like that the cloud seems to me more like a smoke trail than a cloud! Great photo with very nice perspective!

The directional flow of those lovely filaments of cloud compliments the vertical profile of the pine so well. The tree is reaching towards the sky and the sky embraces the tree. A truly exceptional sky shot!

I'm really not sure how you've managed to achieve this result but it's a wonderful photo.

@Mike: Mike, I converted it to B&W in my normal way in Photoshop CS3 which also involves adding contrast with the 'Curves' tool etc. The last step was blending the B&W version with an even tone of blue. There's no crop or cloning compared to the original image - just the straightforward B&W conversion and the added tone.
