Marie LC from Voiron, FranceUn superbe cadrage donnant beaucoup de profondeur à l'image et, bien sûr, des couleurs magnifiques qui en font une très belle réalisation 15 Apr 2009 6:49am @Marie LC: Thanks Marie....jetties on lakes make great subjects for photography - I'm sure you're right that part of it is the depth that they give to the photo. @oncho: Thanks Oncho! Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomAn excellent composition. The height your camera was placed at is perfect as it neither shows the top side or the underneath of the jetty. Also the posts on the left of the jetty are balanced very nicely in-between the posts on the right. The setting sun creates a lovely warmness and the mirror-like water creates some beautiful reflections. 15 Apr 2009 7:15am @Mike: Thanks Mike....it was a little before sunset but I pushed the colour temperature in post processing to give the warmth you see here (I could have done it in-camera but I prefer to shoot in RAW and adjust colour later on a bigger screen. Krims@nline.be from Wemmel, BelgiumSuper, great depth, wonderfull colors ... excellent work 15 Apr 2009 7:15am @Krims@nline.be: Thanks very much for that! @Drey: Thanks very much Drey! Jeff from Honolulu, United StatesThis is excellent. My line of sight runs right along the posts, all the way to the hillside and reflections in the background. Wonderful work. 15 Apr 2009 8:12am @Jeff: Thanks Jeff! IanSmith from London, United KingdomVery nicely done Ian. 15 Apr 2009 8:59am @IanSmith: Hi Ian!....re the new toy question, I've decided to stick with my D40 for now although I bought a flash recently (SB900) which feels like a much bigger learning curve than a new camera body would have been. I do miss the fact that my D40 isn't weather sealed and won't autofocus with non-afs lenses. 12mp instead of 6mp would be nice too so eventually I'm sure I'll update it - maybe if I get offered more pro work where a back-up camera body is essential rather than something which is just nice to have. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyGreat work again. The soft light and colours make it look very delicate. 15 Apr 2009 9:32am Anna.C from LA ROCHELLE, Francebeautiful perspective and reflections !
