Southport PierPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 17 November 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. A winter sunset from Southport beach in NW England. The tyre tracks in the sand are from the specially adapted tractors that go out to the edge of the sea looking for shellfish. For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

@thierry: Thanks Thierry! Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainAnother great image. I like very much the tones of color, the depth and the clean result of this wide panorama. Really beautiful. 17 Nov 2008 7:06am @Paco Díaz: Thanks Paco! Ted from South Wales, United KingdomBrilliant...and I actually prefer this to the previous as, for whatever reason, the vibrating flag/out of focus, didn't work for me. This has everything though, distant interest, sunset, leading lines and foreground interest. Brilliant. 17 Nov 2008 7:14am @Ted: Thanks Ted...yes, the two photos are very different aren't they. My personal preference is for the previous one but I'm well aware that it isn't perfect. Sometimes it's good to have a little ambiguity. Photos that are very prescriptive like this one leave little to the viewer's imagination. @thib: Thanks thib!
