Manchester Ship Canal at Dawn

I've been experimenting with square format crops recently.
This is an archive photo from last winter before I got my DSLR. A misty cold winter morning around dawn on the banks of Manchester's Ship Canal.

@Alun Lambert: Thanks Alun....I'm not so sure how lovely it was but it was very misty and grey with a steady drizzly rain that is so typical of Manchester weather at this time of year.

I like very nuch this photo, very good also the square format here.
I like the greys that gave you the misty atmosphere, and the detail of the birds, that give it depth.

Hi Ian, I just saw your collection of square cropped images on Flikr - I think they all look amazing! This shot is an excellent composition - I like the way the birds cross the lead in line.

Very beautiful; this looks way older than it actually is. If you would have said it's a picture from the 1950s, I would have believed this.
