BarleyPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 16 July 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. The crops are ready for harvest at the moment but the weather is really wet....we've had a huge amount of rain over the last few weeks. For this photo I pushed the colour temperature of the sky to get it toning in with the colour of the barley and there's some added blur and glow. It's certainly something I want to try again if I get a chance of better light. For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

At first, that power line seemed strange, but as I tried to make it disapear (in my mind), the picture didn't have punch anymore. So, it breaks the pattern, and eventhough I wasn't sure at first, it's a clever composition. 16 Jul 2008 3:50pm Melissa W. from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesThis is breathtaking...beautiful tones and light! 16 Jul 2008 8:45pm akarui from Kagoshima, JapanNice composition with the different lines.
