Barley

The crops are ready for harvest at the moment but the weather is really wet....we've had a huge amount of rain over the last few weeks.
For this photo I pushed the colour temperature of the sky to get it toning in with the colour of the barley and there's some added blur and glow. It's certainly something I want to try again if I get a chance of better light.

The composition, colour toning and contrast adjustment are spot on. BTW, I saw your B&W trials on your Flikr account, and think the colour version is just too good for me..

I love that colour monochrome feeling. At first, that power line seemed strange, but as I tried to make it disapear (in my mind), the picture didn't have punch anymore. So, it breaks the pattern, and eventhough I wasn't sure at first, it's a clever composition.
