This is a photo from last year that I took with a small pocket camera. It's of a place called Morfa Nefyn which is in the Llŷn Peninsula, North Wales.
The Ty Coch pub here on the beach is famous for it's beautiful location

Top Shot Ian, so who really needs DSLR's anyway?! Looks a great place, must give it a visit sometime.

@Rhys: Thanks Rhys....I guess the main reason I eventually got a DSLR was so that I could fit an extreme wide angle lens to it like the Sigma 10-20 that I subsequently bought with the Nikon D40. As you know, no current compact cameras offer lenses that wide.

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine....it's only partly true that it's the photographer and not the camera as I love the extreme wide angle lens that I use a lot on my DSLR. It offers a focal range that isn't available on any compact camera (the equivalent of 15 - 30mm zoom range)

I love the smooth curve made by the hill and coast, you did a great job with the composition very balanced, and those structures look gorgeous!

Really like the composition, with that small piece of foreground, then the lovely arc of the beach leading us through the image.
