Following on from Monday's photo, this is another one from the beautiful French alpine town of Annecy.

Wow. I really like this shot, the light, the shadows on the wet street.

@Marhilde: Thanks very much Marhilde!
Oh! another beautiful night shot in Annecy! Really love this narrow street with its old architecture and light reflecting off the wet cobblestones. Really well done!

@Anne: Thanks Anne!
I'm switching to something new tomorrow but I'll probably come back to these nightime Annecy ones as there's some more on my computer that I haven't processed yet.
Great night shot again

@Viewfinder: Thanks very much Glenn....I'm going to move onto something else tomorrow but I might come back to them at some point as there's still a few on my computer that I haven't processed.
The mood is sooo romantic, love the angle and the corners and that stunning path...and You did it again Ian ;)

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine...I really enjoyed taking thse photos in Annecy. I'm moving onto other things with tomorrow's photo - it's another experimental one.
I might come back to these Annecy ones at some point as there's still a couple that I like the look of but haven't processed yet. I took about 1,000 photos while we were on holiday at Easter but have only processed a fraction of them.
this is a beautiful night shot! well done!

@niña: Thanks very much Nina!
Beautiful atmosphere "à la Prévert", though it is Annecy and not Brest! Really nice work.
@Jonas: Thanks very much....I know very little about Prévert so I'll do a google image and have a look for myself!
Oh Ian, this is the one I love best! The lighting, the colours, the wet floor, the wall textures and most important of all, the passersby, all added to the unique atmosphere... wonderful shot!!
Happy Friday! Hugo

Thanks very much Hugo!...this was probably my favourite as well and the last photo that I took in Annecy that night.

Lovely evening scene in the rain. I like the tabac sign .
9 May 2008 4:10pm
@Observing: Thanks...there's definitely something about that sign that is photogenic isn't there (I see another one of my photos has a similar sign in it as well)
Lovely ... and thanks for the link

@amy: Thanks Amy...:-)
Really nice night shot. I like the reflection of the street lights on the wet pavement.
9 May 2008 9:52pm
@Andy: Thanks Andy...I was lucky that the rain held off for a couple of hours to allow me to get these photos. This particular one was the last one of the evening and it had already started raining again.
Did you post-process on this one. The colors are wonderful, subtle, and genuine. Excellent job.
9 May 2008 11:07pm
@Blur69: There's not much processing on this beyond the normal processing of a 'Raw' file. Those are the normal colours but I added a little contrast to give the photo a bit more 'pop'!
It has the feel of an old painting, the swirling light is beautiful.

@JoeB: Thanks very much Joe...I had a great time taking these photos. Annecy is such a beautiful town with bags of character... it's hard to take a poor shot there!
Wonderful...a classic European street scene. Makes me long for my return.

@Jim: Thanks very much Jim!
I've enjoyed all of these, but this is the best. The lighting is excellent and the contrast between the people and the emptiness really charges the scene well. The consistency in the quality of your images is impressive.

@GJC: Thanks GJC! Consistency is the hardest bit of all to achieve in a daily photoblog isn't it.
