St. George's Hall, LiverpoolPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 14 April 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio. This is a photo of St. George's Hall in Liverpool which many architectural critics believe to be one of the finest neoclassical buildings in the world. The architect, Harvey Lonsdale Elmes , was only 25 years old when he won the commission yet he never saw it completed as he died of consumption at the age of 34. There's a larger version here for anyone whose interested http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7161100&size=lg For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.
