Castlerigg Stone CirclePosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 14 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Another shot of this 5,000 year old stone circle in the Lake District of North West England. It was completely wonderful to be able to walk in amongst these stones that were placed there by our ancestors all those years ago. For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

And the composition is wonderful. 14 Mar 2008 4:20pm Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanThough this is quite an interesting perspective you chose here, displaying the boulders closer, I still favour your previous shot which has more drama, more impact! 15 Mar 2008 1:38am amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaI didn't expect to like this one more than yesterday's... but I do!! The b/w is divine on this and the view of so much of the circle gives a great feeling of depth and scale. Again... Brilliant! 15 Mar 2008 4:01am tom from Frankfurt, GermanyBeautiful B&W, great tonal range. Excellent composition. 17 Mar 2008 10:11pm |
