Moonlight in the AlleyPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 14 February 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. A long exposure tripod mounted night shot of a shaft of moonlight coming through an archway in a deserted back alley in Stockport near Manchester. This place was really creepy and so quiet I'm sure I could hear my own heartbeat...... For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaIan, you did it again. That is incredible. All the textures and details are wonderful as is the light. 14 Feb 2008 5:56am @Michael Rawluk: Hi Michael....I'm really pleased you liked the photo! This has been sat on my computer hardrive for a while now as I wasn't really sure about it. I finally decided to have a go at processing it just last night. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaPure Drama, I adore this photo, easily I can say one of my favourites, the blue light is extraordinary and the photo doesn't creep me out itgives me hope, totally love this! 14 Feb 2008 10:28am @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine....I'm really pleased that you like it so much as it's one of those photos where I felt I should or could have done better as the location itself was very dramatic, especially alone in the silent darkness like that. moodaholic from DenmarkGood thing you posted it. It has a great night mood. And the colors are awesome. 14 Feb 2008 11:49am @moodaholic: Thanks moodaholic! tom from GermanyStunning shot. I love the light and the patch of blue sky in the background. 14 Feb 2008 8:53pm @tom: Thanks Tom! danthro from Suburbia, United Statesnice shot, as usual. though usually when i imagine an alley at night, especially if i imagine it in the UK (definitely imagining since i've never really been), i imagine them a lot darker, like in those murder mystery movies where you can barely see anything. still, i don't think i'd want to be alone at night in this place either. 14 Feb 2008 10:48pm @danthro: Thanks danthro......the original image was actually darker than this one but too dark to post.....maybe I lightened it too much Melissa from Warsaw, United StatesThis is breathtaking! The light is exquisite, as is the texture and mood. Brilliant job! Love this! 14 Feb 2008 11:49pm @Melissa: Thanks very much Melissa! |
