The House in the ValleyPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 16 January 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. I've got too many photos that I took in France that I want to show you! This is the first one in a series of 4 night pics from a little alpine village called Hauteluce where we stayed for a few nights when we were away skiing. I thought this scene of the house nestling in the moonlit valley was magical as I don't get to see scenery like this very often.....I hope you like it too! . . Please feel free to copy and paste this advice into your own AM3 blogs as I'm sure there are lots of our fellow AM3ers out there having this same frustrating problem...it would be great to sort the problem out for as many of us as possible. . If you have any other burning queries about Aminus3 or just a great suggestion you want to make, why not try the forum here :Aminus3 Forum. This blog has been 'nominated' for the 2008 Photoblogawards. As you'll see, voting is very close so you could really make a difference.... If you like it, please vote for it here :Photoblogawards. For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

Nick Passantino from Bronx, United Statesnever too many photos.. a great scene that youve captured here 16 Jan 2008 5:29am @Nick Passantino: Thanks very much Nick! @tom: Cheers Tom! Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaIs that next year's Christmas card? Very nice. 16 Jan 2008 6:30am @Michael Rawluk: I hadn't even thought about that Michael.....great idea though. Thanks! @Arco-Íris: Thanks very much....I think this is my first ever moonlit photo! jkjond from Grange-over-Sands, United KingdomGood to see something different from a ski holiday. This and the group of red people work very well. Hope you enjoy running the challenge. Good subject which is attracting a wide range of interpretations already - the shortlist will pretty much pick itself, and I'd be surprised if more than 3 qualifying pics really sing. 16 Jan 2008 8:51am @jkjond: Thanks John, I did wonder if you'd seen the results of the last challenge....extremely strong entries weren't they! It'll be really interesting to see the final crop of submissions once they are all in.....it feels like a real honour being given the chance to be the judge on one of these challenges as they are my favourite part of this DPReview forum. The only downside is that obviously, as judge, I'm not allowed to compete myself! jkjond from Grange-over-Sands, United KingdomYes, it is the best part of the forum - though I see it more of an exhibition of personalities rather than photography! Mind you, no matter how you look at it, photography is an extension of personality. I invariably find that one small group of shots are good, but do not fit the topic; then a whole group are fitting but lacking; then a shortlist of quality shots - I look forward to seeing your judging! 16 Jan 2008 10:24am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaYou've said it it's magical, so full of life, it's exactly the way I imagined a sky weekend fantasy would look like... thank you :) 16 Jan 2008 1:54pm @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine! Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanThat does look like an amazing location! How beautiful. 16 Jan 2008 2:40pm @Daroru: Thanks Daroru.....I've got another couple of photos of this Alpine village that I'd like to show you all over the next few days. GJC from Kyoto, JapanIf the pictures are all this lovely, as they have been, keep them coming! I really like the positive and negative space of the mountain and sky that seem to work as yin-yang. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's post as well. 17 Jan 2008 1:14am @GJC: Thanks for the encouragement GJC! Ken from United StatesI have been watching you Paris photos for some days now.
