Albert Dock, Liverpool - photo #6

Posted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 1 January 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Happy New Year to you all!

This is the sixth photo in a series of night shots from Liverpools historic Albert Dock on the banks of the River Mersey.

The Albert Dock is an amazing group of Victorian warehouses dating from the mid 19th Century - it was very innovative at the time when it was it built, being the first fireproof warehouse in the world.

I'm travelling over the Christmas holiday period and will be away from an internet connection for a while so won't be able to return comments, although there's afew more days of photos pre-loaded.....I'll catch up with you all after the break but wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!

@Darkness: Thanks very much for the encouraging words ....this was the photo about which I had most doubts so thank you.

I loved the photos on your site. I presume that there are 8 photographers who contribute given the name of your site and the fact that the style of photos are all so radically different from each other that they cannot be the work of just one photographer?
