@Sriram: Thanks Sriram - I had been getting very frustrated with my old camera but getting a DSLR has really opened things up for me and I'm enjoying taking photos again.

I've been addicted to taking photos every chance I get since getting the new camera so haven't been visiting other photographers sites as much as I would like lately.

@Craiger: Thanks Craiger - the framing is something I've been wanting to do for a while as I wanted something to tie all my photos together. Anyway, after a lot of thought and some advice from someone whose opinion I respect photographically, I've settled on this simple white border.

@rem_la: Thanks - its just the kind of dark cinematic look I was after. If you like this kind of thing then maybe you'll also like this one from a few days ago as someone else thought that, like you, that all it lacked was 'Jack the Ripper'!
