Clash of ColourPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 20 September 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. I hope you like odd colour combinations! Following on from the photo I posted 4 days ago, this is another architectural detail from some wall cladding inside 'The Lowry' - a building in Manchester which houses the city's collection of paintings by Lowry as well as two theatres. For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

Nick Passantino from Bronx, United Statesawesome detail and the color combo is great. 20 Sep 2007 5:29am @Nick Passantino: Thanks Nick! @Hans: Thank you for this and for the nice words you left on the other photo. @yanle: Michael Wilford was the Architect but many people still associate Stirling and Wilford together. James Stirling died a long time before 'The Lowry' was built and Michael Wilford had even changed the name of the company leaving out Stirlings name. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI was think more along the lines of 'classy colours' :) I like it! 20 Sep 2007 3:53pm @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine - I'm glad you liked the colours! @Inés: Thanks Inés! Brian from United StatesAbsolutely superb! Wow! I am in awe of your skills in composing these wonderful architectural shots. That Finepix of yours is magical! 20 Sep 2007 6:54pm @Brian: Thanks Brian! - Every now and the I get a hankering for a DSLR but the F31 is pretty good on image quality, especially at iso100, and I really love the fact that it is so small I can carry it everywhere! Claus Petersen from Herfølge, DenmarkNice use of the lines and colours on this building! 21 Sep 2007 7:39am @Claus Petersen: Thanks Claus! - I really enjoyed looking through the photos on your own blog - you are very talented! @Shahab: Thanks very much Shahab! |
