Friday NightPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 13 September 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. Waiting for the rush! For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWhat a great catch! Love the angle, you really get that 'waiting' feeling, well done Ian!!! 13 Sep 2007 10:13am @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine! - the bit I couldn't convey with this photo was the intense noise coming from the live band that were playing for all they were worth! Steve from Hellam, United StatesYea, that perspective is awesome. I also like the crazy lighting, it's very effective. 13 Sep 2007 12:03pm @Steve: Thanks Steve! - I loved your images on your photoblog but couldn't see any way of leaving comments - do you have an AM3 version? Nick Passantino from Bronx, United Stateshe looks ready for business. nice capture 13 Sep 2007 3:05pm @Nick Passantino: Thanks Nick! Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesWow - this shot makes me feel like i have had some kind of pill from the Dr. and i need to lay down or i will pass out ;) Great effect! 13 Sep 2007 7:27pm @Rabbit: They had one of those glitter balls on the ceiling reflecting dots of light everywhere like crazy so you are right on the mark with your comments - thanks! @vasa: Thanks vasa - I was really impressed by the photos on your own AM3 blog and left a note for you there on one of the photos from a couple of days ago. Markus from Reading, United KingdomIncredible lighting, love the structure it imposes on the scene, very nice job! 14 Sep 2007 10:24pm @Markus: Thanks Markus - I was pleased that I managed to capture the effect of the light. i had to turn the flash off as it was killing the glitterball speckled light on the floor. 1/6th sec is my record for a handheld shot - i couldn't even use the balcony to rest on as it was vibrating to the beat of the music from the live band! Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesI'm very impressed with the ISO at 1600 that noise is not very apparent in your capture. 16 Sep 2007 5:24am @Rabbit: Thanks Rabbit - I bought thi compact acmera - the Fuji F31, as it had a reputation for being good in low light and I wanted it mainly for work for taking record photos on dark unlit internal building sites. |
