Living next to the Sea

Posted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 9 September 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

How wonderful to live so close top nature at its most elemental - this house on the beach at Morfa Nefyn in North Wales fascinated me. I couldn't help wondering what they felt at night lying in bed when a really bad storm was brewing feet from their window...

I would sell my...well maybe not my soul, but Gosh how I'd love to live there! And may I say, PERFECT Compo...did the wall really curve like that? or did your genius shaped it a bit? Either way: magnificent!!!!!!!
I'd also love to see it in colour if you ever feel like showing it LOL

@Lorraine: glad you liked it Lorraine - I'll post the colour version on Tuesday for you to see :-)
The curve to the sea wall is quite common in the UK and is supposed to deflect the energy of the waves.

This is FANATASTIC! I like the B&W focus!!! This is a perfect capture of the wave against the breakwall and I took wondered before I read your walls what the individuals in the home must feel when the sea is stormy.
