ChesterPosted by Ian Bramham (Manchester, United Kingdom) on 30 August 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. One for all those of you who like townscape images For purchasing high quality archival prints of any of these photos you can send me an email by clicking here or by going to MY NEW WEBSITE where prices are listed in the gallery sections under each individual photo. Links to the websites of other photographers whose work I love and who have all helped me enormously over a long period of time. I find the work of all 3 to be inspirational.

@Inés: Merci Beaucoup Inés. Vous êtes très gentil. J'ai récemment changé ma méthode pour convertir mes photos en noir et blanc. J'ai employé moins de contraste et un peu plus de subtilité :-) Kheoh Yee Wei from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiai would like this much more if this was captured in the middle of the street :D 30 Aug 2007 8:06am @Kheoh Yee Wei: Thanks for stopping by! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaOh Gosh, Yeah it's for me LOL I love it, I love looking at people, they're all so full of ideas and thoughts, and totally unaware of people surrounding them.. 30 Aug 2007 8:44am @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine! - Like a little slice of life frozen in time isn't it! Nick Passantino from Bronx, United Statesnice capture.. i just think that awning in the top left corner of the frame is a bit distracting from the people in the street. 30 Aug 2007 12:22pm @Nick Passantino: I know what you mean Nick but I quite liked the sense of enclosure it gave to the photo. Dhini from Dordrecht, NetherlandsIs this in Germany? Lovely to walk in shops center. 30 Aug 2007 12:24pm @Dhini: The city is in the north of England at the point where England touches Wales on the River Dee. It was founded by the Romans about 2,000 years ago and still has its fortified Roman and Medieval city walls. @Shrig: Thanks Shrig - street photos are my favourite! @badala: Thanks Badala! Brian from United StatesI am a real fan of your street images, Ian. They truly are among the best I've seen. 30 Aug 2007 2:32pm @Brian: Thanks Brian - thats a wonderful compliment! Lost Valley from Kamloops, British Columbia ( west coast), CanadaWhen I got to cities I am tourist in I always make a point of taking time out to sit myself down at a coffee shop and look at the people go by to read their faces and their emotions. Your photo does just this-it transports me to a place I haven't been. I love the looks on their faces and I can only imagine what they are discussing or thinking about. 30 Aug 2007 6:44pm @Lost Valley: Thanks very much - I'm with you on the attractions of sitting in a coffee shop in a foreign city and watching people go by! @Vanessa: Thanks very much Vanessa! |
